About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Thread

At Moh Kaari, every thread tells a story — of heritage, of passion, and of two women who dared to dream beyond their everyday.

We are two homemakers, bound not just by friendship, but by a shared love for India’s textile traditions. What started as a simple admiration for the handcrafted beauty of Kutch slowly bloomed into a heartfelt mission: to bridge the gap between rural artisans and the modern woman. We founded Moh Kaari to bring the untouched charm of village craftsmanship to the wardrobes of women in India’s tier 1 and tier 2 cities — women who crave authenticity, elegance, and a connection to their roots.

In an age of fast fashion, we choose to go slow — working with artisans who have spent generations perfecting the art of Ajrakh, Bandhani, Shibori, and more. Every fabric we curate is handpicked, every design tells a tale, and every saree is a labor of love — not just from the hands that created it, but from ours, too.

As first-time entrepreneurs, we are learning every day — from the joy of a customer's message, from the energy of an exhibition, from the trust placed in us with every single order. We don’t come from business backgrounds, but we come with heart, honesty, and a growing community of women who believe in what we do.

Moh Kaari is not just a label — it’s a movement to honor slow fashion, revive dying crafts, and celebrate the soulful art of draping stories.

Our Story

Moh Kaari began not in a boardroom, but around a kitchen table — between two friends, two homemakers, and two women with a shared love for textiles that tell a story. What started as casual conversations about heirloom sarees and forgotten crafts soon became a calling. We found ourselves drawn to the intricate beauty of hand-dyed Ajrakh, the playful precision of Bandhani, and the soulful simplicity of village weaves. On quiet afternoons and busy mornings, a dream took shape: to bring these handcrafted treasures from the heart of Kutch to the wardrobes of women in our cities — women like us, who value culture, connection, and timeless beauty.

With no background in business, we stepped into the world of entrepreneurship fuelled by nothing but passion. Every step — from sourcing fabrics in sun-soaked villages to packing our first order — was new. We made mistakes, we learned, we grew. And with every saree that found a new home, so did a piece of our heart. Moh Kaari is our way of weaving stories — of artisans, of tradition, of womanhood. It’s a space where rural craftsmanship meets urban grace, where every drape is a dialogue between the past and the present. This is more than just a business for us. It’s a love letter to our culture, and to every woman who chooses to wear it with pride.
